Help for Children who have difficulties with maths

The Quantitative Sense allows children to perform mental maths.  If they have a difficulty in this area they will struggle to learn maths facts such as times tables and simple maths processes such as adding and subtracting.  A difficulty in this area will affect the ability to learn maths and science.  They may be diagnosed as having acalculia, dyscalculia, dyslexia or other learning problem.

Does your child have:

  • difficulty remembering maths facts
  • difficulty calculating change
  • difficulty learning tables
  • a poor sense of time management
  • a poor sense of number and/or
  • a poor sense of space
