The Quantitative Sense allows teenagers to perform mental maths.  A problem in this area will mean that learning maths facts such as tables and simple mathematical processes such as addition and subtraction will not be understood.  A difficulty in this area will affect the ability to learn maths and science as well as problems with calculating change, and estimating time and quantities.  They may be diagnosed as having acalculia, dyscalculia, dyslexia, ADD or other learning problem.
